Honey May Lower Blood Sugar and Cholesterol Levels

Good news for honey lovers - there's another reason to enjoy honey on a daily basis - it may protect your cardiovascular system. A recent study published in Nutrition Reviews suggests that regularly consuming

unprocessed, raw honey may improve glycemic control and lipid levels when paired with a healthy diet. Data suggests that eating approximately 2 tablespoons of honey per day can reduce fasting glucose, total cholesterol, LDL-C, fasting triglycerides, and ALT levels and also increase protective factors like HDL-C and anti inflammatory molecules.
